Looking Ahead: My Additional Goals for 2025

With the new year here, I’ve been reflecting on what truly matters and how I can make the most of 2025. While growing the Paper Crafter’s Academy and launching exciting new classes are at the forefront of my professional goals, I also have some deeply personal ones I’d like to share. These goals feel like the perfect way to balance my work with family, passion, and a little bit of long-overdue organisation.

Spending More Time with My Family
This year, I’m prioritising quality time with my family. Between running a business and managing daily life, it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of tasks. But as I’ve realised, it’s those small, meaningful moments with loved ones that matter most. Whether it’s family dinners, weekend adventures, or even just an afternoon baking session with my daughter, I’m committed to making more memories with the people I cherish.

Community Carols 2022

Decluttering for Creativity (and Sanity!)
I’m running out of space in my craft room! If you’re a crafter, you’ll understand how easy it is to accumulate a mountain of supplies (and tools…and paper…and embellishments…). This year, I’m embracing decluttering as a way to simplify my workspace and make room for what truly inspires me. As part of this process, I’ll also be hosting a craft supply sale, so keep an eye out if you’re looking to add something special to your stash! Decluttering isn’t just about making space; it’s about creating an environment that sparks creativity and reduces overwhelm.

A Generational Treasure: My Mother’s Recipe Book
Something I’ve always wanted to do is document my mother’s incredible recipes. She’s an amazing cook, and her style is wonderfully old-fashioned, steeped in traditions passed down from her own grandmother. Over the years, she’s written down countless recipes that I’ve come to love, and now I want to compile them into a beautiful recipe book. My goal is to create something that not only honors her culinary legacy but also serves as a keepsake to pass down to my daughter, who shares the same passion for cooking. I can’t wait to dig into this project—it feels like a perfect blend of creativity and family connection.

Returning to In-Person Events
This goal has me so excited! After six years of focusing on online workshops, I’ll be hosting in-person crafting classes again. I’ve secured a venue with the local Country Women’s Association, and our first class is set for January 18. The idea of connecting face-to-face with fellow crafters, sharing techniques, and simply enjoying the joy of creativity together has me counting down the days. There’s something truly magical about crafting in a group, and I’m thrilled to bring this experience back to my community.

As I look ahead, these additional goals feel like the perfect way to balance my personal life, creative pursuits, and community connections.

Your Turn!
What are your goals for 2025? Whether it’s something small or a big, life-changing plan, I’d love to hear what’s on your list. Let’s make this year a meaningful and productive one, together.

Here’s to a fresh start and exciting possibilities!
