Do I need a ruler to line up card layers evenly?

Short answer: no. Use the edges of your cardstock as your guide and check the top and one side border by eye. If your pieces were cut straight, that's usually all you need.

What if my layer is already stuck down and slightly crooked?

Don't panic! Look at your card from a normal distance — most small differences aren't noticeable. If it's really obvious and the adhesive hasn't fully bonded, you can gently lift and reposition it. Otherwise, keep going.

Which adhesive gives me time to adjust my layer?
