Why does my stamp sometimes not ink evenly?

This usually happens when the ink pad is tapped too hard, or when one area of the stamp doesn't make full contact. Try light, even tapping across the whole stamp surface — and check that your ink pad is well-inked (older pads can dry out).

Do I need to press really hard to get a good image?
